Micro powder grinding mill for 325–2,500 mesh fine powder
HWM Series Micro Powder Mill is designed for fine and ultrafine grinding of non-metallic minerals. It uses a combination of rolling, grinding and impact for efficient particle size reduction.
Its compact design and simple maintenance make it suitable for continuous operation.
Feed size: <10 mm
Product fineness: 325–2,500 mesh (approx. 5–45 μm)
Capacity: 0.5–12 t/h
Feed moisture: ≤3%
What materials can the micro powder mill process?
The micro powder grinding mill is designed for processing non-metallic minerals with Mohs hardness ≤5 and moisture content ≤3%.
Calcium Carbonate | Barite | Talc | Gypsum | Calcite | Limestone | Calcium Oxide | Bentonite | Dolomite
These materials can be processed into fine and ultrafine powders for applications in construction materials, fillers, coatings, plastics, ceramics, chemicals, and other industries.
| Model | Feeding particle size (mm) | Feed moisture (%) | Finishedproduct particle size range (μm) | Capacity (t/h) | Main machine power(kW) |
| HWM800 | <10 | ≤3% | 5–45 | 0.5–4 | 75–90 |
| HWM1000 | 1–6 | 110–132 | |||
| HWM1250 | 1.5–12 | 185–220 |
Note: Processing capacity may vary with different materials and feeding sizes.
Complete micro powder grinding plant
A complete micro powder grinding plant integrates crushing, feeding, grinding, classification, and dust collection into a continuous production system.
Crusher → Bucket Elevator → Hopper → Electromagnetic Feeder → Micro Powder Mill → Powder Classification → Dust Collector

The raw material is first crushed to a suitable feed size and then evenly fed into the micro powder mill. Inside the grinding chamber, the material undergoes repeated rolling, grinding, and impact before being classified according to particle size.
This integrated configuration provides stable feeding, efficient ultrafine grinding, precise powder classification, and effective dust collection for continuous production.
Why choose FTM Machinery micro powder mill?
1. 325–2,500 mesh in one grinding system
Wide fineness adjustment lets you produce different grades of fine and ultrafine powder, with up to 97% of particles smaller than 3 μm.
2. More powder, less energy
At the same product fineness, micro powder grinding mill requires less cost and can achieve up to 40% higher grinding efficiency while reducing energy consumption by approximately 30% compared with conventional ball mills, jet mills, and stirred mills.
3. Low maintenance and long wear life
The grinding chamber has no internal bearings or spirals, reducing grease consumption and avoiding common bearing-related failures. High-hardness wear parts further extend service life.
4. Compact setup, faster commissioning
The system requires less space and does not rely on large-scale civil construction, helping simplify plant installation and shorten the time from installation to production.
5. Cleaner and quieter production
Negative-pressure operation and an efficient dust collection system deliver up to 99.9% dust removal efficiency, while soundproofing measures help reduce operating noise.
Micro powder mill structure and components
The HWM Micro Powder Grinding Mill features an integrated grinding and classification system designed for efficient and stable ultrafine powder production.
1. Grinding rollers & grinding ring
The grinding rollers and ring form the core grinding zone, combining rolling, grinding, and impact to break down mineral particles efficiently.
2. Cage-type classifier
The cage-type classifier provides precise powder separation and allows finished product fineness to be flexibly adjusted from 325 to 2,500 mesh. Fine particles meeting the required specification pass through the classifier, while coarse particles return to the grinding chamber for further grinding.
3. Dial plate
The dial plate supports the grinding rollers and helps distribute material evenly across the grinding ring. Its stable rotation promotes uniform grinding and helps maintain consistent powder production.
4. Throwing tray
The throwing tray distributes incoming material evenly into the grinding area for more effective contact with the grinding rollers. This helps prevent material buildup and supports stable, efficient grinding performance.
